Will the peak of office construction trigger the next wave of activity focused on (repositioning) existing inventory?
- Over 15 million square feet of office construction delivered nationwide between 2014 and 2015. This surge in new construction was driven by the demand for more efficient space, consolidation and preference for LEED-designed buildings.
- The current development cycle will peak in 2016 as 6.5 million square feet is added to the office inventory across five major markets in Canada.
