U.S. Construction Update: Year-end 2017

2017 ended on a high note for the construction industry as both construction spending and the workforce saw positive growth year-over-year. Materials costs remained relatively in check in 2017 overall, with a small spike in Q4. Looking to the future, the amount of contractor work on the books saw a sustainable increase in Q4, setting the stage for another strong year. The construction industry will continue to mature throughout 2018 alongside the U.S. economy and the commercial real estate cycle.
