Our people have always been our greatest asset. In particular, people like JLL Vice President Emily Lustig. When she isn't advising hotel and hospitality clients, Emily is fighting to end cancer. After losing her uncle to esophageal cancer, Emily got involved with Cycle for Survival, a national movement in the United States to beat rare cancers. Every dollar raised through a series of indoor, team cycling events goes directly to cancer research efforts at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, where her uncle was extensively treated. Emily rallied 14 members of her Chicago team to participate in Cycle for Survival last February. She'll do it again Saturday. In 2017, the team sought to raise $13,000, but instead raised more than $26,000. JLL has participated in Cycle For Survival for the last four years, contributing over $80,000. Nationwide, Cycle For Survival has raised more than $160 million since 2007. Said Emily: "Although my uncle lost his battle, it's such an inspiration to know that his legacy will live on due to the support of my colleagues as we helped raised millions to ensure that future cancer patients win their battle." Good luck to our JLL Young Guns team. cc: @cycleforsurvival To donate, please visit: www.cycleforsurvival.org/donate.
