A new station complex and mixed use transit village funded by a private/public partnership

July 28, 2015 Laura McDaniel

BART needed a creative solution to develop an infill station which reflected current transit-oriented development principles—with limited access to state and local funds. JLL managed the design and construction of the station and parking structures along an active railway in the middle of a freeway. JLL achieved entitlements and environmental clearance for a 500,000 square-foot mixed-use transit village and helped structure a funding package that brought BART’s vision to life.
