Building a community around new company headquarters

February 22, 2017 Sanjana Saluja

With the goal of moving company headquarters from suburban Henderson, Nevada to Las Vegas – and revitalizing the Las Vegas downtown area in the process, Zappos sought JLL’s expertise for a renovation to the historic Las Vegas City Hall building that would serve as the company’s new headquarters. Zappos’ CEO didn’t want to simply build a corporate campus – he wanted to contribute to building a community around the company’s headquarters, and he wanted to increase connections between employees. JLL worked closely with both local and national firms to achieve that vision, with the result of a renovated landmark headquarters that brought new life to downtown Las Vegas, and a LEED Gold-certified workplace design that keeps employees engaged with one another.
