Renovation and re-branding of more than 4,000 stores across the United States

JLL's Multi-Site project management team was engaged to remodel and rebrand approximately 4,000 Family Dollar stores in over 36 states within a five year time frame. In order to complete a wide range of services a Fast Break Renovation Program needed to be created and managed.

As with every program, our Multi-Site team came up with a customized solution.

Program processes and reporting methods, decision trees and communication networks were created along with a cost and schedule technology tracking program for 100+ client users and 26 service providers.

The results:

After establishing a “night work” model, the overall schedule was reduced and lost sales were eliminated during renovation. $2.2 million in cost savings were achieved through sourcing initiatives, unit pricing and supplier renegotiations. We successfully incorporated Family Dollar's nationwide Technology/Equipment Refresh Program and New Cooler Line-Up Program.
