Transforming Detroit’s RiverFront, one park at a time

May 18, 2018 Sanjana Saluja

The Detroit RiverFront Conservancy (DRFC) had a vision: to transform its RiverWalk in order to attract more visitors to Detroit’s downtown. To that end, DRFC engaged us to serve as construction manager for all phases of the beautification project. Delivering much more than just a project, we provided overall site evaluation and construction management of all parks, bike and walking paths, and RiverWalk installations; successfully completed $17M in phase one renovations; and delivered the popular LEED-certified Mt. Elliott Park. We also helped develop Gabriel Richard Park and the parcels of land to the east and west of Chene Park in only 18 months. At the end of the day, we enhanced Detroit’s downtown, while receiving perfect client satisfaction scores of 5.0 out of 5.0.
