Upgrading a historic landmark in the heart of San Francisco

May 23, 2016 Laura McDaniel

The historic Hilton San Francisco Union Square Hotel occupies an entire city block in the heart of downtown San Francisco. One of the largest and tallest hotels on the West Coast, it was in dire need of upgrades, so Hilton called on JLL to execute the renovation of 575 guestrooms and 35 corridors, including full renovations of guestrooms and bathrooms. The project took 15 months to complete and saved Hilton $2.9 million in design and construction costs. Hilton executives were so pleased with the outcome they engaged JLL to complete Phase II of the historic hotel’s renovation.
