Under Armour’s two-story flagship in Chicago, designed by Big Red Rooster – a JLL company, took home the coveted Store of the Year Award at the 2016 Association for Retail Environments’ (A.R.E.) annual Design Awards, which were presented on March 23, 2016 in Las Vegas.

In its 45th year, the A.R.E Design Awards is the industry’s largest and most prestigious retail store design awards program. The 30,000 SF winning store features the sporting goods giant’s “Brand House” format, and blends merchandise and technology with accents of localization.

From its two-level rotunda that boasts a 65-foot high ceiling to dynamic videos and graphics to a giant bust wearing an Under Armour shirt, the space offers customers an immersive and unforgettable brand experience. In addition to winning Store of the Year, Under Armour also took top honors in the specialty store category (over 25,000 SF).
