Glass prices rising along with new skyscrapers
• As starts skyrocket, glass prices are rising as well; curtain-wall prices have risen more than 30 percent in
the past 18 months, as previously shuttered glass manufacturers struggle to keep up with demand.
• Year-to-date completions (46.0 million square feet) are far below historical norms, but there will be
continued construction growth into 2016 as demand grows, putting further strain on glass supplies.
