Undertaking a major rebranding effort

When Microsoft acquired Nokia, the company needed to rebrand the L.A. Live entertainment complex in the South Park District of Los Angeles to be part of the Microsoft brand. Knowing that this was no easy feat, Microsoft brought JLL on board to execute the $2.5 million rebranding of the complex, which has more than 5.5 million square feet of ballrooms, bars, concert theatres, restaurants and movie theaters, and features a 54-story hotel and condominium tower. Due to the amount of daily foot traffic at the complex, all work had to be completed after hours and on weekends. With the advantage of JLL’s extensive network and thorough knowledge, navigating the complex municipal review process didn’t impede the progress of rebranding all exterior elements of L.A. Live, on time and on budget.
