In order to optimize operational workflow, JLL helped Boart Longyear consolidate five separate facilities into one large facility that capitalized on the synergies between their different departments. Our work involved the careful coordination of highly technical project requirements, phasing and move management.
We led extensive value engineering efforts with inputs on design strategies, scope minimization, contract buy-outs and change order reviews. Through the value engineering efforts above, we helped Boart Longyear carve $1,500,000 out of the budget allowing them to add additional unforeseen scope to the project. Boart Longyear’s offices, distribution center, manufacturing facility, machine shop, and drilling services groups were all moved in with minimal disruption to their business.
