This was the first speculative industrial warehouse building in the Chicago market for this client, Atlanta based CORES Industrial Partners. The client required a local owner’s representative project manager, to monitor the master project schedule, attend the weekly construction progress meetings and conference calls, review project requests for information, change requests, and invoices. JLL PDS provided customized solutions to the client through design and construction means and methods, such as heavy- duty asphalt pavement profiles, energy efficient LED warehouse lighting, specialty concrete slab systems, and expediting construction activities during the winter months. The JLL PDS team monitored the completion of all 400 precast wall panels and all structural steel framing during the winter months of January and February 2017, keeping the project completion date on schedule. The project team used PlanGrid web-based software, for shared posting of all project documents and drawing updates, and weekly jobsite progress photos, which helped in tracking the jobsite status, saving time, and saving distribution of hard copy documents.
