Exceeding expectations: LEED Gold certification for massive conference center

The San Francisco Tourism Improvement District (SFTID) needed to renovate its two million-square-foot Moscone Convention Center, the largest convention and exhibition complex in the city. After realizing how determined SFTID was to have a green building, we helped pursue LEED certification to underscore San Francisco’s deep sustainability commitment. We exceeded SFTID’s expectations by reducing the Center’s water usage by 40 percent and by achieving the highly coveted LEED® Gold certification, surpassing the originally anticipated certification of LEED® Silver.
