To reinforce its commitment to client satisfaction around workplaces, JLL Project and Development Services announced it has created its first Workplace Strategy Council, comprised of five preferred suppliers in architecture, flooring, lighting, furniture and audio visual technology. The council will gather regularly to develop strategies, offer candid insight and perspective, and provide counsel on industry best practices, innovation, risk mitigation and service performance.

The Workplace Strategy Council evolved from JLL’s Synergy program and is centered on best practice development that benefits all key stakeholders. JLL Synergy leaders, Samantha Mehal and Morgan Junia, held a kick-off meeting in February 2017 to build excitement and outline expectations for the program. The collaboration between the partners has been impressive, already meeting several times and making progress toward developing a tangible concept.

“Our clients come to us looking for ways to improve their workplace experience, and this council allows the top players in the industry to meet and deliver solutions focused on best practice development,” said Robyn Hollweck, Central Regional Project Director, JLL Project and Development Services. “It is a mutually beneficial relationship with our suppliers, making processes more efficient and ultimately achieving maximum success for our clients.”

According to JLL’s latest study on how to drive human experience in corporate workplaces, nearly 70 percent of employees globally agree that happiness at work is the best ingredient for a unique workplace. In order to keep up with the future of work mindset, the council will meet several times a year to collaborate on how to create unrivaled experiences.

“It takes a village to provide the engaging, empowering and fulfilling experiences required to attract and retain the best talent across today’s five generations of workers,” said Ed Nolan, Managing Director and workplace strategy practice lead at JLL. “The collection of experts serving on our Workplace Strategy Council is helping us to envision the most impactful experiences and how they can be delivered cost effectively to our clients.”

JLL partners who have joined the Workplace Strategy Council include;

  • IA Interior Architects
  • Interface
  • Wiedenbach Brown
  • Steelcase

JLL chose supplier partners in several key design focuses, allowing clients to unlock potential across the entire lifecycle of a project, not just one specific category.

“We are pleased to be a part of a group of like-minded firms focusing on redefining the delivery of the workplace experience,” said Julie O’Shea, Director of Client Services, IA Interior Architects. “Each company involved is dedicated to leading the industry in the delivery of world-class facilities. We are happy to be part of an exciting initiative that provides a unique integrated approach to addressing issues surrounding the building space for today’s leading companies.”

The Workplace Strategy Council evolved from JLL’s Synergy preferred supplier program, which provides clients the best quality service and pricing. The program achieves this by building strong, ongoing relationships with top-tier suppliers that allows JLL to negotiate optimum pricing, service levels, quality, warranties and other benefits with more than 60 best-in-class suppliers around the world.
